Commission Disclosure & Transparency Policy
Meet Mentora believes students and families make the best choices when they have clear, honest information. This policy explains how we may earn commissions from universities and how those commissions impact (or do not impact) your experience.
Quick Summary
- Some partner universities may pay Meet Mentora a commission after you enrol.
- Commission never increases your tuition or fees.
- Partner universities are disclosed during counselling and labelled when applicable.
- Optional services (visa help, test prep, premium docs) are clearly priced.
- You always choose where to apply—partner and non-partner universities alike.
1. Purpose of This Policy
We want every student and parent to understand how Meet Mentora sustains its services. This policy outlines when we may receive commission income, how that affects our operations, and the safeguards we follow to keep student interests first.
2. What Is an Education Commission?
Many universities around the world pay education partners a commission when a student successfully enrols. Commissions are typically paid after enrollment and are calculated as a percentage of the first year’s tuition or fees. This practice helps universities manage recruitment costs and allows Meet Mentora to provide free or subsidized support for many students.
3. When Meet Mentora May Receive Commission
- When you apply through Meet Mentora and enrol at a partner university.
- Only after your enrollment is confirmed and you begin classes.
- Not all universities are partners; some destinations (e.g., public universities in Germany) rarely pay commission.
We will always let you know when an institution is a partner or when no commission is involved so you have the full picture.
4. How Commission Affects Students
- Commission does not increase tuition or service fees charged by the university.
- Commission does not limit your application choices.
- You remain free to apply to partner and non-partner universities.
- We do not promote a university solely because of commission.
5. Free vs Paid Services
Our goal is to keep core counselling accessible while offering premium support when needed:
- Partner universities: Application and admission support is typically free.
- Optional paid services: Visa assistance, test prep, premium documentation, mentor sessions.
- Non-partner universities: You may purchase a comprehensive paid package if you want end-to-end support.
All optional services are clearly priced before you commit, so you can decide what fits your plan and budget.
6. How Partner Universities Are Identified
When a university is part of our partner network, we label it as “Partner University” or mention it during counselling sessions. You can always ask us whether a specific university is partnered, and we will answer transparently.
7. Student Choice & Consent
You are never required to choose a partner institution. If you prefer a non-partner university, we will support that decision just the same. Our counsellors discuss pros and cons for every option so you can make an informed choice. Your consent is required before we submit any application on your behalf.
8. Our Ethical Commitment
- No misrepresentation or hidden agendas.
- No false promises about visas, scholarships, PR, or jobs.
- No pressure selling—students can take time to decide.
- Honest, side-by-side comparisons of universities and services.
- Long-term student success matters more than short-term commissions.
